Violin Lessons

I have been teaching the Violin for more than 20 years. My long time personal research on Violin technique, the endless experimentation, the deep love I have for martial arts and their application to violin playing are the main reasons why my students find my approach so helpful and achieve very positive results.

Fortunately enough, I had the honour and the pleasure to meet some great teachers, both in the Instrumental but also in the Martial Arts world. There are also numerous scientific studies from amazing people that are not really known to the general public. I hope one day to be able to systematize my research and make all this knowledge accessible and relatively easy to understand.

My personal approach to Violin playing is greatly inspired from the principles of Tai-Chi and the importance of a well balanced and natural body posture, a minimum of effort with a maximum of result in Sound and Technical virtuosity.

Unfortunately the traditional Academic approach gives almost no consideration to these factors, promoting the endless hours of practice as the only way of achieving great results, often leading to disastrous consequences for the body and not least for the mind.

The importance of a healthy body is gaining more and more popularity among younger players around the world, but for this to become a part of a Violin school we will probably have to wait for a few generations more to pass.

The path is not easy and often very lonely and confusing. But after a while things begin to make sense, and this gives us confidence and the ability to help others on their way of personal evolution.

So if you need any help with your technique, no matter if you are a beginner or a very advanced player, don't hesitate to contact me and maybe i can teach you how to make your playing a little easier and more enjoyable.
